Malik started her career as an actress in PTV when she was thirteen years old.[1] She made her debut with the serial Reizgar aired on PTV Home. After that she was seen in Maigh Malhaar and then wacted in a children's musical show Aangan Aangan Tarey on PTV.[1] She also appeared in a Urdu language film Muhafiz in 1998 with Nadeem and Saud. Now she is being seen on different TV channels and in television serials. She played lead role in Aiteraaf in 2011 on ARY.

Javeria Abbasi (Urdu: جویریہ عبّاسی) is a Pakistani former female model turned television actress.[1][2][3] She has acted in various films and dramas, including the Hum TV serials Dil, Diya, Dehleez (in which she plays a lead role) and Thori Si Khushiyan as well as Doraha, Andata, Sotayli, Tere Liye; the ARY Digital serials Phool Wali Gali and Phir Kho Jayye Na and PTV serials Maamta, Kash Mein Teri Beti Na Hoti and Chahatain. More recently, she made her film debut in 2011 Pakistani film, Saltanat. She has been nominated once for the "best actress" title in the Lux Style Awards for her performance in Najia.[4]

Early life

Javeria was born and brought up in Karachi[5] to a Muslim family; her father was a reputable writer while her mother came from a family of traditional herbal pharmacists. She is the sister of another Pakistani actress Anoushay Abbasi. While still young, she survived an almost fatal car accident which caused critical injuries. Her body still bears the marks of surgery.[4]

Abbasi interest in acting initially started while she was still in college. Through successful stage performances, she acquired notability and decided to pursue a permanent career in filming.
